Elegant Paris card

Cut a piece of cream cardstock to 8 ½” x 5 ½” and score at 4 ¼”. Cut a piece of patterened paper to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”. Lightly distress the edges with a scissor and then ink slightly with “Vintage photo” distress ink.

Cut out images from Tim Holtz “Fleur de lies” die, using black cardstock and then emboss with the coordinating embossing folder.

Using cream cardstock, cut out the second largest die from the “Gold labels four” set and emboss.

While the die is still in place, use a script stamp and Memento ink on the image.

Ink the edges of the die cut with “Vintage photo” distress ink.

Attach the die cut with tape adhesive, layering the embossed die cuts using thin pop dots.

Make a small bow using ¼” sheer ribbon and attach to Eifel tower using a small glue dot.
Fin’!

Little Church Christmas card

Cut a piece of Kraft cardstock to 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scoring at 4 ¼”.
Cut a piece of Christmas designer paper ( I used Melissa Frances “A Merrie Xmas”) to 4” x 5 ¼”.

Using Tim Holtz “Holly branch” die, cut one set out of white cardstock. Ink using “Festive Berries”, “Vintage photo” and “Evergreen Bough”
Cut image using Marianne design tiny creatables. Apply Zig 2-way glue to the tree and roof tops and then sprinkle with Distress dry glitter “clear rock candy”. Leave to dry.

Attach holly branch, leaves and berries using a combination of flat adhesive and pop dots to add dimesion. Attach church using thin pop dots. Apply Snow writer to upper edges of branch and leaves and sprinkle with Distress dry glitter right away. Leave to dry.

*I love the sparkle that the Distress dry glitter gives this project!*

"Smile" card

Cut a piece of brown cardstock to 8 ½” x 5 ½” and score at 4 ¼”.

Cut 2 pieces of cream cardstock, one at 5 3/8” x 4 1/8” and the other at 5 ¼” and 4”.

Set aside the larger of these two pieces. Working on the smaller piece, stamp the background with a script stamp ( I used an Inkadinkadoo stamp) using Tim Holtzs’ Old Paper Distress ink.

Using the stamp set of your choice, ( I used “Nature Walk” from Stamp’in Up) arrange multiple images to fit on your cardstock and stamp using Tim Holtz “Vintage Photo” distress ink.

Ink edges of stamped cardstock using “Old Paper” distress ink.

And again using “Vintage Photo”.

I then used a light misting of “Old Lace” Glimmer mist, *because if there isn’t some sparkle somewhere, I don’t want anything to do with it! ;) *

I then lightly distressed the edges with my scissor and mounted it to the larger piece of cardstock.

I then took the birdcage image and stamped it with Versamark ink onto a scrap piece of cream cardstock and heat embossed the image using Fine gold embossing powder.

I fussy-cut this image and inked the edges using “Vintage Photo”

I looped a piece of twine around the two layers of cardstock adhering it to the back and then using self-coloured flowers purchased from “I am Roses” I proceeded to decorate the rest of the card.

Using “smile” from the “Sunny Flowers” set from Stampendous, I stamped using Memento “Tuxedo black” onto a twill ribbon after first rubbing a bit of “Vintage photo” over the ribbon to age it a bit.

I secured the ribbon around the twine using a brad, used foam dots to attach the bird cage to give it some dimension and added just a hint of bling using the small gems then attached it all to the base card. Voila!

I'm back!

Hello all!

I have been super busy with new and old jobs and have not had a chance to breathe let alone post! I have been laid off from the painting job that I had, but had already lined up my current job...at Michael's! A Crafters dream job!

I have been trying to stay active in my craft room....here are a few of the cards that I have been making...

Not bad, eh?! LOL
It is now time to start on Christmas cards! Yippee! I love making Christmas cards and sending them!!

Thanks for stopping by!

I thought this would be easier....

....to keep up with a blog, but then I got a full time job again! LOL
Yippee, I am off EI and working again. It's only for the summer and then I will be laid off again, and you won't be able to shut me up! :)

It has been extremely busy here this past week. My youngest is graduating this year and she had her prom this weekend.
Isn't she beautiful?!
So besides all the whirlwind of Prom, hubby and I get home from work on Thurs to discover that our hot water tank had died. We couldn't change it until Sunday....so Prom weekend with no hot water.... :/ (picture me boiling LOTS of water on the stove for everything!)

On a good note, I sold more cards! Yippee!! I still manage to find time for my hobby (mental health break) and I am so glad for that. It might just be on the weekends, but it's better than nothing!

I hope that you all are having great days and moments with your loved ones!

Thanks for listening!

Spellbinders Valentine's card

This card was inspired by the "Romantic rectangles" Spellbinders die. I made this card in hopes of eventually becoming a design team member for Spellbinders thanks to some inspiration from my new friend Julie. (Thanks for the push Julie!)

I have just purchased some new dies so I will be playing with them in the near future!

I love Graphic 45!

Fairly recently I have become a new fan of Graphic 45 paper line! They have a perfect combination of vintage themes and wonderful colours that satisfy the artistic side of my brain.
These lovely Valentine's cards were inspired by the February cut out sheet from the "A Place in time" paper line. I added Glossy Accents and Stickles "Star Dust" to the lips on the second card, so cute!

Thanks for stopping by!

One of my new favorite cards using Graphic 45 paper! This is from the new "Secret Garden" collection.

New Beginings

This is starting a new chapter in my BOOK, and I will fill it from time to time. I am excited to see where this road will take me. I am extending myself and growing and this is very new for me. My crafting and photography will be the main focus, with some life stuff added in here and there.

Thanks for joining me on this journey!
